Chikusa (千種区; -ku) is a ward in the eastern part of the city of Nagoya in Aichi Prefecture, Japan. It has a number of large parks such as Higashi-yama Park and Heiwa Park , is the home to the Nagoya Zoo and Botanical Gardens , and contains the Higashi-yama Sky Tower . The area also has a large number of educational institutions including Nagoya University.
