Dorset South is a constituency represented in the House of Commons of the Parliament of the United Kingdom. The constituency covers a similar area to the borough of Weymouth and Portland in Dorset, but also a small area of West Dorset. As of 2001-2005, the Member of Parliament for Dorset South is Labour's Jim Knight. The constituency is Labour's smallest majority, having been taken from the Conservative Party in 2001.
