Humbug Mountain, viewed from the sea
Humbug Mountain lies on the coast of Oregon, situated about 6 miles (10 km) south of Port Orford, with Highway 101 passing by its northern base.
The mountain rises from the Pacific Ocean's sea shore to an elevation of 1,756 ft (535 m). It is the centerpiece of Oregon's Humbug Mountain State Park . Its slopes feature an old-growth rain forest. A three-mile trail runs out of Brush Creek Canyon to its summit. The area is popular with hikers, campers, bike riders, and whale watchers.
