The Mochokidae are a family of catfish from Africa that includes the squeakers and upside-down catfish. Mochokids are part of Order Siluriformes, which is part of the Actinopterygii (ray-finned fishes). There are 10 genera and more than 150 species of mochokids. All the mochokids are freshwater species.
