Rashard Lewis (born 08/08/79) is a basketball player with the Seattle Supersonics. He was a highly touted prep player from Alief Elsik high school in Houston, Texas. He bypassed college and opted for the NBA draft in 1998-1999, but the hometown Houston Rockets, who had 3 first round picks that year, passed him up with all three. He ended up being drafted by the Supersonics in the second round, the 32nd pick overall. He has since had a solid career as a forward including his first All Star berth in the 2004-2005 season.
