Schermer (population: 4,900 in 2004) is a municipality in the north-western Netherlands, in the province of North Holland. The municipality covers an area of 64.44 km² (of which 2.89 km² water).
The municipality of Schermer consists the following towns, villages and townships: Driehuizen , Grootschermer , Oterleek , Schermerhorn , Stompetoren , Zuidschermer .
