Southend Central railway station

Southend Central is a railway station in Southend-on-Sea. Train services are provided by c2c.

It was opened in 1856 by the London Tilbury & Southend Railway and was the original eastern terminus of the line which was later extended to Shoeburyness.

Off-peak service consists of two semi fast and two stopping services every hour in each direction between Fenchurch Street railway station in London and Shoeburyness via Basildon.

A further two stopping services start at Southend Central for Fenchurch Street railway station taking the longer route via Tilbury and Chafford Hundred for Lakeside Shopping Centre.

Southend Victoria railway station is also located in Southend.
